Power Rankings are calculated as follows:
Power Ranking = Points / Games Played (regular season or playoffs)
Points are calculated as follows:
W-L Record: 1.0 points for each win (regular season or playoffs)
Scoring Title: 2.0 bonus points for winning the scoring title
1st Round: 1.0 bonus points for making the playoffs (including bye teams)
2nd Round: 1.0 bonus points for making the semifinals
3rd Round: 2.0 bonus points for making the BAFFLE Bowl
4th Round: 2.0 bonus points for winning the BAFFLE Bowl
In case of a tie for Power Ranking, the following tie-breakers are used:
1. Number of total games won during current cycle (W)
2. Number of BAFFLE Bowls won during current cycle (Marv)
3. Number of BAFFLE Bowl appearances during current cycle (3rd Rd)
4. Number of semifinal appearances during current cycle (2nd Rd)
5. Number of playoff appearances during current cycle (1st Rd)
6. Total points scored during current cycle
7. Coin flip
Why are Power Rankings important?
When BAFFLE divisions are re-drawn every 6 years, teams will be redistributed according to their Power Rankings
during that period (not counting inactive teams) in order to maintain a competitive balance between divisions:
